safety

panels have
been invited

presentation
by the Fire
Brigade on
Community
Fire Safety
and Youth
Engagement,
which
provides
details of
the LIFE
scheme which gives
young people
the
opportunity
to learn
practical
fire
fighting
skills
alongside
the
professionals will
also be
included. Nominations
to serve on
the
committee
for the
forthcoming
year are
invited.

to any questions raised.
The meeting is open to all residents, local businesses and
representatives of voluntary organisations in the Blackfen
area.

What is the Blackfen Forum?
The Forum originated at a public meeting of Blackfen
residents in February 2004. Meetings are held three times a year.
The Aims:
To enable the local community to become more involved in
decisions on local issues, including the
regeneration of Blackfen and surrounding areas.
The Objectives:
To assist the Council and other stakeholders to promote
and sustain the viability of Blackfen and enhance its environment.
To liaise with the Council on issues affecting the community and
businesses in Blackfen.
To encourage the improvements to the quality of life of people living in
Blackfen.
Membership:
Open to residents, businesses, associations
(but not those of a political party), voluntary organisations and community
groups located in Blackfen and also to local ward members of Bexley Council.
